The Neom project is a proposed city development in Saudi Arabia. It is a planned smart city and a flagship project of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 program, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil. The name "Neom" is derived from two words: "neo," which means new, and "m," which is the first letter of the Arabic word "mustaqbal," meaning future. The proposed city is located in the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia, near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt and Jordan. The project aims to create a sustainable city that will be powered entirely by renewable energy, have zero carbon emissions, and be a hub for technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
